How escrow protection works
Your payment is held safely until you confirm the handover — here's exactly how.
Escrow means your money is held by a neutral third party (clAIssified) and only released when you — the buyer — confirm that you received everything promised. You never pay directly to the seller.
The escrow flow
Here's how the money moves:
- You pay → funds go to clAIssified escrow account
- Seller receives notification and starts the handover
- You confirm every item on the Handover Checklist
- You click "Confirm handover" → funds released to seller
- If you don't confirm within 14 days, the case is escalated to support
What if something is missing?
If the seller has not delivered everything on the checklist, do not confirm the handover. Open a dispute via your order page. Our support team mediates and — if the seller cannot deliver — issues a full refund.
Partial delivery
If some items are delivered but others are not, contact support. We can arrange a partial refund or extended deadline for the seller.
Seller not responding
If a seller goes silent for more than 5 business days after purchase, contact support immediately. We will intervene on your behalf.
How long is the escrow period?
You have 14 days from purchase to confirm the handover. After 14 days without action, our team reviews the case and decides based on evidence provided by both parties.
